These Terms are an agreement between you and Dmitrii Sirotin ("we", "us") governing your use of WordCraft: the website at https://wordcraft.info and our mobile applications (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Service.
WordCraft is a spaced-repetition vocabulary learning app: word libraries, a chain of exercises for each word, audio pronunciation, a repetition mode, a consecutive-day streak counter, and progress statistics.
The Service is provided on an ongoing basis. We may change, add, or remove features, word libraries, and pronunciation voices. We will give advance notice of material changes to the paid part of the Service (section 5.6).
When using the Service, you agree not to:
If you break these rules, we may restrict or terminate your access (section 8).
New accounts get 7 days of full access from registration, at no cost and with no card required — every library and voice except V.I.P. (section 5.9). After the trial ends, a subscription (section 5) is required to keep using the Service.
We may change the length or scope of the trial. If a change reduces it, we will give at least 14 days' notice.
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Monthly | 9 USD per month |
| Annual | 85 USD per year |
| V.I.P. (section 5.9) | 14.99 USD, one-time |
Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your jurisdiction.
Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each paid period — monthly or annual — your payment method is automatically charged for the next period at the price then in effect, until you cancel.
By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment processor to make these charges.
Before you subscribe, we present the automatic renewal terms clearly and conspicuously: the frequency and amount of the charges, the length of the period, the renewal price, and how to cancel. A subscription starts only after you separately consent to those terms. Immediately after payment we send you an email that repeats those terms and the cancellation instructions in a retainable form.
Annual plan. Between 45 and 15 days before an annual subscription renews automatically, we send you a reminder stating that it will renew, for how long, at what price, and how to cancel. We also send an annual reminder of your active subscription, its cost, and how to cancel it.
Payments on the website are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details are entered on Stripe's side and never reach us. Stripe's own terms also apply to the processing of your payment.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, paid access ends when the paid period expires; your learning progress is preserved.
Cancelling is as easy as signing up. If you subscribed online, you can cancel online — in your account settings, in a few clicks, with no phone call, no email, and no explanation required. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: paid features remain available until that date, after which the account reverts to free access (section 4). Your learning progress is preserved.
Payments for a period that has already begun are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
As a matter of goodwill, we will refund a started period if you email support@wordcraft.info within 14 days of the charge and have made essentially no use of the paid features during that period.
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use paid features immediately, you request that we begin providing the service right away and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed; where it has been partly performed, any refund is calculated proportionally.
We may change our prices. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before a price change applies to your existing subscription. The new price takes effect from the next period; if you do not accept it, cancel before that date.
Subscriptions are purchased and paid for on the website only. Our mobile apps contain no in-app purchases: the app opens the payment page in your browser. Managing your subscription — cancelling, changing plan, updating payment details — also happens on the website, in your account settings.
Some users who registered before subscriptions were introduced retain permanent access on the same terms as an active subscription (every library and voice except V.I.P., section 5.9). This status is tied to a specific account, is not transferable, and is lost if the account is deleted.
V.I.P. is a one-time purchase of 14.99 USD that unlocks a set of additional libraries and pronunciation voices, on top of an active subscription (or the permanent access described in section 5.8). V.I.P. can only be purchased while your subscription is active, and access to it pauses automatically whenever your subscription lapses — resubscribing restores it at no extra charge. The one-time payment itself follows the same payment (5.3) and refund (5.5) terms as subscription charges. Unlike a pause from a lapsed subscription, deleting your account permanently ends your V.I.P. purchase — it is tied to the account and does not survive deletion or transfer to a new account, even one registered with the same email (section 2).
The Service, its source code, design, word libraries, and pronunciation audio are owned by us or lawfully licensed to us, and are protected by copyright.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted.
Your learning data is yours. By sending us a message through the feedback form, you allow us to use it to improve the Service.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, and freedom from errors. We do not warrant that using the Service will produce any particular level of language proficiency.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or 50 US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability; in those jurisdictions these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach section 3, if you fail to pay, or if the law requires it. If we terminate your access without fault on your part, we will refund the unused portion of your paid period.
Sections 6, 7, 9, and 10 survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes not resolved through negotiation are subject to the courts located in Sacramento County, California, USA, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right granted to you by California consumer protection law, including the Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.).
If you are a consumer resident in a country whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence and the protection of its mandatory provisions, this section does not deprive you of those rights.
Before going to court, please email us at support@wordcraft.info — most issues are resolved faster in writing.
